Living in Korea has opened my eyes to an abundance of differences between the cultures of east and west. It has also made me realize that there are many things universal to all humans. One of the built in things is the wonder of creation. We were given the opportunity to help plant rice with a friend. My kids and her nephews entertained themselves chasing frogs. I love the grubby face, the open mouthed wonder, and the reluctance to hand over the priced possession to a big brother. We’re not so different after all.
*Should the South Korean government read our little blog, I should point out that no frogs were harmed in the chase. All were returned to their murky homes alive.
