This week we visited Suyeon Sanbang, a traditional Korean tea house. Sometimes it’s called the Poet’s House. Author Yi Tae-jun lived in the house in the 1930’s and 1940’s. I had heard all kind of wonderful things about it. I’m sorry to say that it didn’t live up to the hype, but I’d like to try it again on a day when it’s not raining. That would probably help with the damp smell and the soggy cushions. Fortunately, my disappointment didn’t have anything to do with the food. The tea was lovely and in the background you can see pumpkin patbingsu. Now THAT is delicious!
