Week 47 – Cindy

I love how Seoul has developed lovely parks all along the Han River for city dwellers to venture outside. Tents are pitched, grills are fired up, kites are flown, and masses of bicycles are ridden. Until late into the night, people of all ages escape from the bustle of a major city to sit and soak in the view.

Waiting at the Yeouido Hangang Park for our river cruise, we experienced one of those really glorious afternoons. Late in the day, the sun was hanging low and the rays on the river danced. I got to observe kids playing in the sand and slurping popsicles in total glee. People were napping and reading and couples walked hand in hand in the glow of the sunset. And once again, I saw that laughter is truly universal and for all ages…as is a good swing.
