Year Three, Week Thirty-Nine – Leah

Korean weddings of today have made many large changes from what they used to be. They no longer involve several long ceremonial stages (I went to a traditional wedding a few months ago where I witnessed this), but are instead quite westernized – though very much in their own way.
The weddings are all about the display. There are usually spectacular lights or decor and, as you can see in this pic, there are usually attendants telling the bride and groom exactly what to do and when and were to do it. Here you can see one of the two girls who were guiding the bride’s dress as she stepped down the isle. They were both wearing microphones to communicate with the attendants at the front who were telling the groom where and how to stand while she walked down to him.
