I love coming out of subway stations at night and seeing the lights. It seems to me that most people come out of the subway with their heads down. As a terrible klutz, I should probably do the same and watch my feet, but instead I try to look up when I’m coming out of the subway. One of these days I’m going to trip over my own feet, but popping up from underground in different parts of the city is always an experience I enjoy and one that I need to look up for to really appreciate. This particular view is one of my favorite views in Seoul. It’s a common one. It’s not Seoul Tower or sunset over a mountain or beautiful cherry blossoms at a palace, but it is the view from underground that means I’m almost home. And that, my friends, is very sweet indeed.
