Year Two, Week Fifty-two – Bethany

Sewing

I heard about the popularity of having custom clothes made in Korea before we even arrived here. My uncle was stationed in Korea years ago, and the wool jacket that he had made while he was here has been passed through the men in our family. I knew it was only a matter of time before my husband and I had custom clothes made too. We visited a shop in Osan based on a friend’s recommendation. While my husband was being measured, I spied the sewing machine that would be used to stitch his new suit. Old, much used, and apparently in excellent condition; I can’t wait to see the results!
