Year Two, Week Thirty-nine – Guest

Another thing that I have loved about living in Korea, is how big the art scene is here. There are so many art galleries and beautiful exhibitions are in town year round. I recently went to the “A Dream I Dreamed” Exhibition, by Japanese artist Kusama Yayoi, at the Seoul Arts Center. It was amazing and full of color, each piece more explosive than the next. This photo is part of my favorite piece in the whole exhibition, it’s called “The Obliteration Room”. It started as furnished room, completely white from top to bottom, and every visitor, upon entering was given three colorful dot stickers to place wherever they liked in the room. I visited three days short of the exhibition leaving town so it was already quite covered! It was absolutely beautiful.
